About Jessie
Animator • Illustrator • Graphic Designer

Born in the woods of Northern Florida, Jessie grew up the child of a fine woodworker and an educator/singer – both diligently running their own businesses. This fostered Jessie’s strong belief in hard work, quality craft, and the ability to make your passion your livelihood – and she fully embraced a professional creative life. While currently a relative fledgling in the world of animation, Jessie has had many other artistic careers over the years.
Her first love was contemporary dance, which she followed to Seattle. There, Jessie founded her dance company, Dead Bird Movement. She also choreographed for experimental theater groups and performed with several other dance companies. She performed nationally and internationally for 15 years.

Always one to follow inspiration, constantly learning and tackling new skills, Jessie found her second love in music. She formed the rock’n’roll band, Marion Walker, and over the course of 8 years they released multiple albums, touring extensively around the US. Jessie also occasionally moonlights with other bands, usually playing bass.
Between tours, Jessie worked as a self-taught freelance designer, building websites and an array of other graphic design projects. When the pandemic set in, and the performing arts shut down, Jessie seized the opportunity to take her design skills to the next level and returned to school. Her graphic design studies introduced her to motion graphics, which then led to ongoing studies of animation. Now pursuing her third art life, Jessie lives in Los Angeles and enjoys illustration and 2D character animation.
